Our Courtroom Critters program provides invaluable support to individuals facing traumatic experiences in court. Our Elite Therapy Dog teams are specially trained to help witnesses, victims, and survivors feel at ease during challenging legal proceedings, offering comfort and companionship when it's needed most.

Comfort Critters
In times of distress, our Comfort Critters are here to offer solace and support. Whether it's a city-wide crisis, the aftermath of a fatal shooting, or the loss of a loved one, our therapy dogs provide a source of calm and reassurance, helping individuals navigate difficult emotions and situations.

Meet the Courtroom Critters!
Courtroom Critters are an elite Therapy Dog team. They have received advanced training in order to assist victims, survivors and witnesses of traumatic crime through the entire process of court proceedings. These dogs lend a paw in therapy sessions, court pre-trials and even while in trial in the witness stand.
Riley is a Springer Spaniel, and works with handler Donna Achrem. Riley has worked in music therapy with Cleveland Clinic and worked in hospice. Riley is truly special and was named after Riley Howell who stopped a gunman at the University of North Carolina. Riley always touches hearts with a soft look.
Hufflepuff, the Bulldog, is the founder of Courtroom Critters. Hufflepuff and Handler Stephani have traveled to Arizona and Utah for court appearances and pre-trial events. Hufflepuff is a true example of a victim advocate.
Max and his Handler, Ron, have worked very hard to become the best of Therapy Dogs. Max has worked in hospitals and with children for many years. Max is now ready to work in the Courtroom and sit with victims, witnesses and survivors to help them tell their story to the Judge and have Justice Prevail.
